Jam in Lake Maurepas
Fresh news from River Rat Rob:
The Jam'in in Lake Maurepas is May 10, music starts at 11:00 AM. If you've never been, this is a helluva party. There is a party IN Lake Maurepas (pronounced maw-paw, not maury-poss) on the sand bar; there's live music, food, boats, girls in bikinis, guys trying to impress girls in bikinis, and lots and lots of fun.
On Rob's website, he has a link to an aerial photograph of last year's party...that's also worth seeing. The party is a tribute to a guy named Jon Arrington, whom I actually knew. He had a dream, but now in his memory people come together to remember his dream.
